Decorators Fire Rated Sealant by Hippo

This acrylic fire rated sealant by Hippo is specially formulated to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. It’s suitable for use on joints and openings located in fire rated walls and floors and creates a durable joint with reasonable levels of elasticity.

Improve Fire Safety

When this intumesent sealant is subjected to normal atmospheric conditions it retains its elasticity for joint movement and performs as expected. However, once under exposure to fire, it creates a robust safety seal that can help prevent the spread of fire.

In the event of a fire, at approximately 180°C thermal activation begins. As a result of which the material expands to prevent the passage of fire and smoke for periods of up to and beyond 4 hours.
